public-surface-sweep-2026-07-18
Ultra-comprehensive sweep of ALL public MN surfaces, ordered by Lee 2026-07-18 after the "blog dead three years" claim was caught false. This note is the corrections ledger + current ground truth; where it conflicts with outside-in-xray, market-map, or infra-assessment, this note wins (those carry pointers back here). Confidence: [solid] = primary fetch this date · [estimate] = search-triangulated · [unknown].
Corrections ledger — prior claims vs 2026-07-18 reality
| Prior claim (where it lived) | Verdict |
|---|---|
| "Blog dead since Apr 2023 / narrative engine dormant ~3 years" (xray §7, proposal Annex G, live swat page) | FALSE portfolio-wide. Only mysterium.network/blog + blog.mystnodes.com + Medium are dead. mysteriumvpn.com/blog/news is a near-daily privacy-news desk publishing through July 2026 [estimate — 403s bots; triangulated, consistent dates Jan–Jul 2026]. goproxies.com/blog is active (2 posts Apr 27 2026; original research incl. "Global Internet Censorship Index 2026," picked up by SecurityAffairs) [solid]. mystnodes.com/blog thin but alive (Rewards System, Mar 4 2026; before that a Feb–Mar 2025 SEO burst) [solid]. True problem = fragmentation, not silence: four content engines, no hub, mothership links none of them. |
| "No self-serve B2B buy path exists" (xray §1) | FALSE as a portfolio claim (was scoped to mysterium.network before GoProxies was confirmed in-house). GoProxies has a live dashboard (dashboard.goproxies.com) + working Buy-now checkout on every tier (Stripe/Adyen card + Coingate crypto), sales gate only above ~2TB custom [solid]. The mothership still doesn't link the door — the gap is brand routing, not absence of a buy path. |
| "No up-stack product work" (xray §8, GitHub pass) | PARTLY SUPERSEDED. GoProxies Scraping API in private beta — site-wide banner live 2026-07-18 [solid]. That is exactly the "money is up the stack" move (per-success/unblocking territory). Still nothing agent/x402/MCP-shaped anywhere [solid]. Public GitHub remains all-dVPN [confirmed]. |
| "GoProxies legal entity unknown" (market-map WS1) | RESOLVED. goproxies.com's own schema.org publisher tag names UAB "MN Intelligence" (verified on homepage + 404 page, 2026-07-18) [solid]. No separate GoProxies entity exists. |
| Node stats "32,570 nodes / 182 countries" (infra-assessment, from 07-17 dashboard read) | CONFLICT, unresolved. mystnodes.com landing fetched 2026-07-18 shows 31,547 IPs / 135 countries / $568,019 cumulative [solid] — same as the 07-05 read. The 07-17 "32,570/182" came from the World Network Health dashboard. Either different counting bases (registered nodes vs active IPs; countries-ever vs countries-active) or staleness on one surface. Do not cite "182 countries" as fact until the basis is resolved — it is load-bearing for the breadth-advantage claim (scanner W1 watches this). |
| "One open job req" (xray §5) | DISCREPANT/TIGHTENED. Careers page still shows the Fullstack Tech Lead listing [solid], but the underlying Workable API returns zero jobs [solid] — reads as a stale posting over an actual hiring freeze. Consistent with cost-control, not growth. |
| "Active on KuCoin" (dossier §5 listing list) | FALSE — KuCoin's own page states it does not support MYST trading. Token otherwise re-confirmed: ~$0.090, cap ~$2.9–3.0M, ~$30–35k/24h, MEXC-dominant, Coinbase page still live, not Binance [solid]. |
| "No crypto/LT press 2025–26; no 2026 founder interview" | CONFIRMED (incl. zero delfi/15min/vz.lt/LRT hits for "Mysterium"+"Višinskis"). Nuance: Ieva Matulaitienė is publicly billed "Mysterium CEO" on the company's own LinkedIn (~late 2024) and gave a Safety Detectives interview (Nov 2024). Exec media presence exists — through her, not Ro. |
| GoProxies pricing $2.40→$1.40/GB; VPN iOS 4.7★/5.1K, IAP $9.99–119.99; MystNodes cumulative $568k | ALL CONFIRMED by primary fetch 2026-07-18. VPN monthly tiers now: Basic $10.49 / Plus $13.49 / Pro $18.49; 1-yr Basic $3.69/mo. iOS app updated 3 days ago (v2.4.7) — actively shipped. |
The entity map (new ground truth)
| Entity | Facts [solid, registries 2026-07-18] |
|---|---|
| BlockDev AG (Zug, CHE-464.393.106) | Active; directors Robertas Visinskis (President) + Gitanas Kancerevycius ("Gitas"); CHF 100k capital; no capital changes since 2020. The protocol/treasury side. |
| UAB MN Intelligence (Vilnius, 307039286, reg. 2024-12-03) | Director Ieva Matulaitienė; FY2025: €1.13M revenue, −€268k net loss; 13 employees. Operates Mysterium VPN (since 2025-01-01) and is GoProxies' legal operator. |
| UAB MN Technologijos (Vilnius, 304869871, f. 2018) | Also directed by Ieva; FY2023 €1.43M revenue, +€8k profit, ~15 employees. The older dev/operating entity — previously unknown to us. |
Structural read: a dual-CEO shape — Ro = BlockDev/protocol/treasury; Ieva = the Lithuanian operating entities holding ALL product revenue. Cross-check that lands: all-hands ~$75.6k/mo ≈ €840k/yr run-rate vs MN Intelligence FY2025 €1.13M (declining year → consistent). Entity-scoped break-even changes the game: the revenue-bearing entity is only ~€22k/mo from break-even on its own P&L; the €2M/yr burn (Šaras) must sit mostly in the BlockDev/protocol layer. "Distance to break-even" is meaningless until scoped to an entity — the X-ray must be entity-resolved.
⚠ CORRECTION (2026-08-13, from the 08-12 burn-canon repair): "the €2M/yr burn" above used the halved canon figure. Šaras verbatim: "revenue is 2M, loss is 2M" → cost base ~€4M/yr, net loss ~€2M/yr. The entity-scoped inference survives with corrected arithmetic: if the revenue-bearing entity is ~€22k/mo from its own break-even, then the ~€2M/yr net loss (not the full €4M cost base — roughly €2M of costs are covered by revenue) still concentrates outside it, in the BlockDev/protocol layer. The structural conclusion — entity-resolve the X-ray — is unchanged. (Canon:

Other findings
- MysteriumVPN joined i2Coalition + VPN Trust Initiative (Feb 2026) — real industry-trust move [estimate].
- GoProxies Trustpilot: 4★/23 reviews [medium conf.] — tiny trust base for a B2B brand.
- Necto Labs ($3M incubator, 2023): dormant-not-dead — pages live, zero portfolio news 2025–26.
- Mysterium Dark (alt VPN app): 500k+ downloads, ~4.0–4.4★ mixed.
- X/@MysteriumNet 2026 activity unverifiable from outside (auth walls) — do not claim active or dead. Discord ~16.6k members. No official subreddit.
- Funding: nothing since the 2017 ICO (2023 Natix event was MN as investor). No BlockDev capital changes since 2020.
What this does to the strategy picture
- The "narrative gap" lever survives but changes shape: not "reboot a dead blog" — consolidate and route four live-but-orphaned engines (VPN news desk = crown jewel, GoProxies research arm earning press) under one brand architecture. Amplification + routing, not resurrection.
- The "no commercial organ" read softens: self-serve checkout exists, a scraping API is in beta, a content desk publishes daily. The deficit is demand generation + brand routing + the mothership hiding its own doors, not missing plumbing.
- The engagement's counterparty question sharpens: the P&L that needs saving legally belongs to Ieva's entities. The current proposal routes to Ro. Both are real (Ro = treasury/mission; Ieva = operating P&L) — the proposal should consciously address both, not assume Ro-only.
- Up-stack is already in motion in-house (Scraping API beta) — week-one question: its roadmap, pricing, and whether the X-ray's levers should build on it.
Open discrepancies (do not let these harden either way)
- Node-stat basis: 31,547/135 (landing, 07-18) vs 32,570/182 (health dashboard, 07-17).
- Careers listing vs empty Workable feed.
- X/Twitter 2026 activity — unverifiable without auth.
- GoProxies static-residential/mobile/shared-DC pricing not individually re-verified (pattern-assumed).
